Processkontroll Green Technology and commissioned a new filling station in Grums for OG Clean Fuels in January. The facility enables refueling with both liquid biogas (LBG/Bio-LNG) and compressed biogas (CBG/Bio-CNG), strengthening the infrastructure for fossil-free transport on the route between Oslo and Stockholm.
An important feature of the plant is a boil-off compressor that recovers the boil-off gas that occurs when the ice-cold liquid biogas is heated in the cryogenic tank. Instead of having to be cooled down again to around –160 °C (which normally requires liquid nitrogen), the boil-off gas can be compressed and used directly for refueling as compressed vehicle gas. This reduces the need for cooling and contributes to the efficient utilization of energy in the system.
Thank you to OG Clean Fuels for your trust and excellent cooperation.
