With green energy gases for sustainable development

We at Processkontroll Green Technology are the Nordic region's leading supplier of filling stations, service and infrastructure for liquid and compressed green energy gases. With this, we want to contribute to sustainable development by making transportation fossil-free and helping industry to switch to climate-friendly energy choices.
We are already doing today and will certainly have more hydrogen applications in the near future, such as filling stations, mobile gas storage and more. While we look forward to a future where we can produce green hydrogen in an energy-efficient way, we already have a fossil-free and climate-positive alternative with biogas that constitutes a circular economy.

Biogas brings big climate benefits and clean air

Biogas is renewable and does not lead to any net CO2 emissions when burned. Average biogas as a fuel is almost climate-neutral from a life-cycle perspective and can even produce negative emissions(read more at Energigas).

The use of biogas as a fuel also contributes to significant improvements in urban air quality. Biogas-powered vehicles reduce both nitrogen oxides (NOX) and harmful particles, thus contributing to reduced health and environmental impacts. In addition, emissions of sulphur oxides (SOX), which lead to soil and water acidification, are almost zero from biogas and natural gas.

Biogas provides double climate benefit with biofertilizer

In addition to replacing fossil fuels, the biofertilizer produced also reduces greenhouse gas emissions. When the digestate is used as biofertilizer and replaces mineral fertilizers, more carbon is sequestered in the soil and emissions from the energy-intensive mineral fertilizer production are avoided.

Using manure to produce biogas instead of spreading it directly on fields reduces the emissions of methane and nitrous oxide that are otherwise released when untreated manure is stored and spread on fields. This greatly reduces the climate impact and at the same time produces biogas that can replace fossil fuels. Producing biogas from manure thus provides a double climate benefit.

Circular economy when biogas ends the cycle

Biogas is more than a fuel - it is a circular economy system. Through the production and use of biogas, society's resources are used efficiently.

Waste from sewage, food scraps and manure, as well as residues from forests and industry, are processed and turned into valuable products - renewable energy and fertilizers.

Global Sustainable Development Goals
The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals

Biogas contributes to many global sustainability goals both locally and globally

Biogas has a very high climate performance and helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions when it replaces fossil fuels. This is just one of the many environmental and social benefits of biogas. Biogas contributes positively to all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, directly or indirectly.

At the national level, the production and use of biogas affects 8 of the environmental objectives.
