Bus station

Filling one or several hundred buses simultaneously

Bus station is a refueling station specially built for bus traffic and there are two different types of refueling stations for buses; fast filling and slow filling.

Biogas Tank Solutions

For large and small bus depots – adapted to your needs

Bus stations are refueling stations specially designed to meet the needs of bus fleets. There are two main types of refueling solutions for buses: fast-fill and slow-fill. By using bus ramps, several hundred buses can be connected at the same time and slowly refueled overnight to be ready for use the next morning. Fast-fill dispensers fill buses' tanks with gas in just a few minutes, similar to refueling at a regular car service station.

Slow-fill bus ramps offer the advantage that they do not need to be monitored during refueling. Instead, the process is done automatically overnight, which means that drivers do not have to wait at the bus and many buses can be refueled simultaneously while parked. However, sometimes there may be a need to fill a bus quickly, in which case rapid refueling stations are used as a complement.

The most efficient bus depot has a combination of both fast-fill and slow-fill tank solutions, providing the flexibility and capacity to handle all types of situations and needs that may arise. At Processkontroll Green Technology we offer customized biogas tank solutions for both large and small bus depots, to ensure that you always have access to the best and most efficient solution for your business.

Hammarby Sjöstad

Extreme compressor capacity, gas storage and redundancy for 120 fast-fueling biogas buses

Hammarby sjöstad is home to a new modern bus depot for up to 140 climate-friendly biogas buses that blends discreetly into the urban environment. The entire project was challenging and technically complex because the bus depot is being built in the middle of the city, on several levels, some of which are below groundwater level, with commercial premises on top and residential units right next door.

Within this huge project, we were awarded the contract for gas compression, gas storage and four biogas refueling dispensers. With our recently delivered facilities for large bus depots for biogas buses in Gubbängen in Linköping, Bettorp in Örebro, Helsinki and several depots in Stockholm, this project could have been perceived as another in a row. However, this bus depot differs in that all buses will be able to be filled quickly via four dispensers instead of, as is often the case, filling biogas buses slowly via refueling ramps overnight and only filling individual buses quickly when necessary.

Slow filling of around 30 biogas buses

Air Liquide Skagerak's biogas filling station in Skien utilizes the local gas network to supply the station with biogas, which is an efficient use of resources. This station is also an excellent example of a plant that we initially delivered with only one compressor, but which was upgraded last year with a second compressor to increase capacity and redundancy.

This upgrade demonstrates the ability to adapt and improve our facilities as needs change and grow. By increasing the capacity and redundancy of the filling station, Air Liquide Skagerak can ensure a stable and reliable supply of biogas to customers while meeting the growing demand for climate-smart fuels in the region.

Örebro

Biogas filling station and mother station for buses

We have constructed a versatile filling station at the Bettorp bus depot in Örebro to supply regional traffic's biogas buses and fill mobile gas bodies with biogas. The innovative station ensures a constant supply of local biogas from Örebro's biogas network.

The station has a large buffer to cope with fluctuations in biogas supply and a backup solution with an LBG tank to guarantee a constant supply of gas for bus services.

Örebro regional transport and their biogas buses benefit from this versatile station that allows both direct refueling and filling of mobile gas cylinders. This offers a flexible and reliable gas supply throughout the region.

Our solution shows how Processkontroll Green Technology strives to develop innovative and tailored solutions that meet customer needs and contribute to a sustainable transport sector.
